Product Manager

We’re looking for a Product Manager with a strong product mindset, startup ownership, and curiosity about how AI is changing the way products are built.

At Spartan, Product Managers do more than manage backlogs or write specs.

• You will work directly with US founders and stakeholders to understand business problems, challenge assumptions, and help teams build the right product, not just ship more features.

• You will work closely with our VN engineering team to turn ideas into real products, from understanding user needs and defining MVPs to launching and improving the product over time.

We work with startups backed by YC, Pear VC, a16z, Techstars, and other fast-moving companies across the US. Many of our partners are building AI-first products, internal tools, and startup MVPs where speed, ownership, and clear thinking matter.

We don’t expect every PM to be deeply technical or an AI expert from day one. But we do value people who are curious about AI workflows, willing to learn prototyping tools, and excited to explore new ways of building products faster and smarter.

• You may not be an expert builder yet and that’s okay. We value people who are willing to learn, experiment, and adapt quickly.

What You’ll Do:

• Work directly with US founders and stakeholders to understand product vision, business goals, and user problems

• Own product initiatives from ideation → launch → iteration

• Work with AI tools and lightweight prototyping methods to validate ideas faster before engineering investment

• Translate business requirements into clear PRDs, specs, user stories, and priorities

• Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to ship high-quality products

• Balance speed, quality, scope, and business impact in fast-moving startup environments

• Drive product discovery, ask hard questions, and challenge assumptions when needed

• Coordinate across time zones and maintain clear communication between stakeholders and engineering teams

• Use user feedback, data, and experimentation to improve product decisions

• Identify blockers, risks, and gaps early, then proactively drive solutions

What We Care About:

Must Have

• Strong product mindset and problem-solving ability

• Strong ownership and execution mindset

• Experience building products or features end-to-end (from ideation → launch → iteration)

• Curiosity about AI tools and modern product workflows

• Comfortable working directly with US founders, and stakeholders

• Comfortable operating in fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous startup environments

• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and design teams

• Willingness to learn prototyping and AI-assisted product development

• Strong English communication.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with US startup ecosystem and startup product culture

• Experience with AI/LLM products or AI-enabled workflows

• Hands-on experience using tools like Cursor, v0, Bolt, Replit, Claude, or similar tools

• Experience working on MVPs or early-stage startup products

• Basic technical understanding of APIs, systems, databases, or product architecture

• Experience working across multiple time zones and international teams
